This might be a dumb question but what does the green dot next to the asset name represent? I am assuming this PC/Asset is active on the network or was accessing the network when the inventory was updated. Is this a correct assumption? Does BOSS inventory hold on to assets after they have been removed from the network or are they only removed when removed from AD? New to BOSS and trying to figure some things out. Thank you and Merry Christmas
The green dot is based on the ping that happens every 30 minutes to let you know if the machine is on. We do not remove assets we archive them. However that is only done, when the asset is deleted from AD.

I may or may not have voiced this out in the past - but I've noticed that assets (and users) get archived when they are moved from one OU to another.
